This project, implemented by NGO “Institute of Social Initiatives” supported by IREX Ukraine, provided for the establishment of a cooperation between Lviv communities, the system of public libraries and the New Patrol Police.

The project encompassed not only senior librarians, but also young children who learned about the interesting aspects of the work of the patrol, studied the rules of the road and behavior in society.

Within the framework of the project, more than 40 different events were held in 9 libraries in the city of Lviv in order to inform the Lviv community about the progress of the police reform and the establishment of a dialogue between the police and the community. In addition, the goal of the project was to promote libraries as a community meeting place, a place where you can find friends or colleagues who share your interests and collaborate to achieve common goals or community development.
